About the Selection Process
The selection process for the Rising Stars list is a rigorous one, and only those who pass the stringent requirements of Texas Super Lawyers® and are 40 years or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less, make the cut. In total, no more than 2.5% of practicing lawyers in a given field will be named to the respected Rising Stars list each year. The selection process includes: formal nomination, independent research by the Super Lawyers team, and peer evaluation by practice area.
Candidates named to the Rising Stars list are evaluated and selected based on the following:
- Top verdicts and settlements
- Special licenses and certifications
- Scholarly lectures and writings
- Successful transactions
- Prestigious honors and awards
- Notable bar and/or professional activity
- Pro bono and community service
- Other outstanding achievements
